Public Web Folders
All Psychology faculty, staff, and instructors can have a folder on the Department of Psychology web server that can be used to publish Department related materials such as course content.
Private Home Folders
All Psychology faculty, staff, and instructors can have a folder on the Department of Psychology file server that can be used to store Department related materials.
Research Storage
All Psychology faculty, staff, and instructors can have a folder on the Department of Psychology file server that can be used to store research lab related materials. This folder is only accessible by users that the folder owner specifies.
Security Standards
Campus is drafting minimum security regulations for University computers and data.
Spam Filtering
Spam is a constant threat and nuisance. Using outlook web filters can prevent much of the garbage that ends up in your email.

General computer support can be obtained by visiting Lago W105 and speaking with a Psychology IT Technician or by emailing psych-tech@iastate.edu.

Questions about ordering computers, moving computers, adding or modifying computer hardware, computing policy, data storage or access, information security, designing or implementing technology related projects should be sent to the department System Support Specialist.
