Psychological Interventions My interests in forgiveness and religion/spirituality are complimented by the importance that I place on applied research. The major focus of this research is on psychological interventions, primarily (a) helping people overcome interpersonal injuries, and (b) understanding the role and use of religious content and techniques in therapy. Another way to understand this third area is the way in which I make my research on forgiveness and religion practical, applying what I learn in ways that help clinicians, counselors, and educators be more effective in their attempts to help people. This area also includes investigations into the process and outcome of group counseling and the barriers of seeking psychological help.
