Check out some pictures of the 2014 Fall Volunteer Fair.

The last Fall Volunteer Fair was held from on September 4 in the ISU Memorial Union.  Thanks to all of the agencies and volunteers to make this day a success!

A bit of history…
In 1999, the Iowa State University Psych Club began a tradition of bringing together agencies of the Ames community in the annual Social Services Volunteer Fair. The event was intended to provide students volunteer and internship opportunities.  Within a few years, the Psych Club was joined by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Career Services, the 10,000 Hours Show, and the College of Human Sciences as co-sponsors.  In 2012, the decision was made to return this event to the student organizations of Psych Club and CyServe Council (formerly 10,000 Hours Show) as co-sponsors.

We would like to say thank you for participating in the FVF over the past years.  Recently we have seen the number of students and agencies diminish at the FVF due in part to the success of the People to People Career Fair.  Thus, the ISU Psych Club has made the difficult decision to discontinue the FVF.

If your organization needs interns or employees, please go to https://cyhire.iastate.edu/employers/ for information on posting positions on CyHire.  You can also find information on the People to People Career Fair which is held in the fall and spring.  CyServe is also another campus group that helps place volunteers (contact Kevin at kmerrill@iastate.edu).
