Abstract

The target article by Dweck, Chiu, and Hong (1995) on "Implicit Theories and Their Role in Judgments and Reactions..." is an excellent presentation. Two main sections comprise this commentary. The first highlights the major contributions made by the target article. The second illustrates several ways in which the current analysis of implicit theories can be integrated with other research on knowledge structures.
