The University of Connecticut
XIX ISRA World Conference
Storrs, Connecticut - July 27 to July 31, 2010
Technical Information -

"PowerPoint" on Dell-PC (Windows XP and Office 2007) and overhead projectors are available in the plenary and section rooms. You may connect your own computer to the projector if you prefer; a technician will be available to assist you with the use of the Student Union equipment.

Optimal conditions of presentation files:
Microsoft PowerPoint (if you want to use other software, please bring it with you), with a resolution of 1024*768 XGA in your slides. Do not use a font smaller than 12 point. If you use animations, please embed them; if it is a special animation, send the codec also and bring all the files on a CD or flash-drive to the meeting.

Personal laptops and/or equipment:
Students, faculty, staff and customers are allowed to bring in their own equipment (at their own risk). Any setup and running of the equipment is the responsibility of the person providing the equipment, not the Student Union. All cables must be Gaffer taped down for safety. Please be aware that the Student Union equipment is the priority for the Audio/Visual technicians and, if help is needed, the on-duty technician may help if they have time.

Macintosh VGA adapters:
Manufacturers do not have consistent VGA adapters across product lines. We are unable to stock every type of adapters for all of the different laptops on the market, or for all of the different types of computers faculty, students and guests bring with them from all over the world. There are far too many types of adapters for Student Union technicians to know specifically which adapter you would need for your personal computer. If you do not have a VGA adapter that connects your computer to our data projectors, monitors, or systems,  you will need to contact your computer manufacturer or a local or online distributer.
