Opportunities for Undergraduates:

Summer Intern Program for Women in Science and Engineering

Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA)

PSYCH 491

PSYCH 490

We are always looking for new undergraduate students to join the lab. There are generally between 10 and 14 undergraduate students working in the lab during a given semester. While some students choose to work in the lab for only a semester, many choose to work in the lab for multiple semesters. Therefore, in a given semester, our memory lab usually contains a mix of new students and students who have been around for awhile. Undergraduate students working in this lab are usually very involved in the data collection process. This means spending some time in the lab running research participants through computerized memory experiments. Our lab holds monthly pizza lab meetings, where we talk about ongoing research projects and present data from completed studies. Undergraduates working in our lab are encouraged to become involved in the presentation of a research project at a research conference, such as the Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA), held yearly in Chicago.
